Access to Sql

I two tables that originally came from access but since my department has outgrown access, I am going to import the table from access to SQL then use access as the gui. My problem is I'm getting Timstamp errors and when it does import over the formatting is gone such as ss#'s. Also I was wondering is there a way that you can do queries in access without doing them in sql? (I'm still learning sql and sometimes my queries get error messages also)

It makes the process pretty painless, and it will even build the Access Data Project files that will allow you to keep your formatting, etc.
