Access Denied on Fileshare subscription

I'm trying to set up a subscription that delivers the reports to a Fileshare
on a server abroad (= different domain), using RS 2000 SP1
Although I'm able to map to the share and to create files using Windows
Explorer, the RS subscription comes up with a error: "Logon failure: unknown
user name or bad password".
I am using the same userid and password as in Windows Explorer. I also tried
following syntax:
IP_Adress\UserId + Password, which also works in Windows Explorer.
I have verified that the ReportServer service runs under the account
"NetworkService". Operating system is WindowsServer2003, Enterprise Edition.
SQL Server 2000 SP3 Enterprise Edition. As ReportServer is running as NetworkService which is local machine, the
local machine may not be able to talk to the foreign domain. Try changing the
service account of ReportSERver service to the domain account.
