Access denied on restart

The following error occures after installation of several
Hotfixes:
"The MSSQLServer service failed to start due to the
following error:
Access is denied."
It seems that the LocalSystem account cannot start the
MSSQL services. The service is temporarily started using
the domain admin account. I recently installed Hotfixes
KB824151, KB841533, KB840987, KB841356 en KB883935 on my
W2K SQL server, running SQL 7.0.
Before de-installing and restarting these hotfixes one-by-
one, i thought to have a try via this newsgroup.

Take a look in Books online... Search for Services Accounts.
There it details all of the requirements for permissions for the accounts...
The thing that is strange is that I have never , ever had any problems
starting SQL with localsystem...
If you have changed the account using control panel, services and are using
Full text search, you could cause a problem... In my opinion it is a best
practice to set up an account specifically for SQL Services login anyway...
Perhaps it is time you do that...

Thanks for you reply. The thing is, we also never, ever
had problems starting SQL with the LocalSystem account,
untill I installed the hotfixes. I'm pretty sure un-
installing the hotfixes will solve my problem, but that is
not the general idea behind hotfixes, is it?
Any other suggestions? If not I'll consider creating a SQL
Services login account.
